This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Christian Women Connection (“Company”) collects, uses, protects and shares personal information of users of this website, www.christianwomenconnection.org (the “Site”).

Christian Women Connection is a Indiana non-profit corporation that exists globally to empower users of the Site and fund the work of the gospel locally and around the world.(“Services”).  

Sharing of Personal Information

Some of your interactions on the Site may be public. These interactions are immediately viewable by other users of this Site. If you add content to the Site, this content may also be viewable by other users of this Site.

We do not sell or trade your personal information with others.  We may share personal information as follows with GDPR-compliant third parties:

If you are a host or attendee of one of our events or groups, we will share location-related personal information to allow other users to attend your hosted event or group.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Information Storage

STORAGE OF INFORMATION

Your information collected through the Site is processed in the country in which Christian Women Connection service providers maintain facilities. If you are based in the United States and use our Site, you consent to have your data processed by Christian Women Connection in the United States.

Christian Women Connection maintains strict administrative, technical and physical procedures to protect information processed via our servers. Access to information is limited (through user/password credentials and two factor authentication) to those employees who require it to perform their job functions. We use industry-standard technology, including but are not limited to data encryption to safeguard the information we collect from you.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Not for Children

The Christian Women Connection Site exists to equip women (adults) with resources, events and community. Our Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children. Please contact us at frontdesk@wchog.org if you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 so that we may delete such data as soon as possible.
