This year, as we prepare to gather with our gifts around the manger, we acknowledge that heavenly hosts join us gathered around the throne, and together we sing with one voice: He is Holy, and He is Worthy, Christ has come, and Christ will come again.
Celebrate Advent with us again this year and invite your community to experience the baby in the manger who now reigns as King and calls us to follow him in his example of love and service.
Following our overwhelming response to the 2023 Children’s coloring book, 2024, CBO resources will include a Children’s activity experience and a Litany to receive the offering as a congregation to further engage your community in the worship of baby and King in the service of building a better world together

These gifts have made room for her to share in churches throughout the United States. Presently, she serves alongside her husband Pastor Eric Butler, Sr. as Praise and Worship Leader, and Director of Ministries at First Church of God in Toledo, Ohio. Pursuing her passion and purpose above all has made her a worshipper and notable speaker.

Dr. Jason Varner is our 2024 Sermon Starters Writer! Dr Varner serves as an Assistant Professor of the History of Christianity at the Anderson University School of Theology and Christian Ministries.
After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees (History and Bible & Religion; Master of Theological Studies) from Anderson University, Varner moved to Scotland where he studied early modern history at the University of St Andrews. Upon completion of his MLitt. and Ph.D. degrees, Jason returned ‘home’ to Anderson University, where he enjoys teaching courses in the History of Christianity, Intellectual and American History, and Biblical Studies.
